The Cercle d’Études Scientifiques Pierre Rayer develops interdisciplinary research and documentation for artworks, monuments, collections and cultural heritage projects. Each assignment is defined according to the object studied, the available documentation and the expected deliverables.

Fields of intervention

Documentary and historical research

Research in archives, libraries, catalogues, institutional publications and provenance records, with the identification and organisation of sources relevant to the work or monument studied.

Universæ Analysis

Formal, geometric, proportional, historical and symbolic examination of artworks and architecture according to the Universæ Analysis methodology. Discover the methodology.

Non-invasive technical imaging and the preparation of visual documentation using high-definition infrared reflectography. Explore the equipment and applications.

Institutional and cultural programmes

Preparation of conferences, publications, exhibitions, cultural mediation and scientific or heritage projects developed with public institutions, associations and private collections.

Collections and exceptional works

Structured documentary files combining object identification, high-resolution images, comparative material, historical references and clearly organised visual demonstrations.

Publication and transmission

Editorial preparation of research results for academic, institutional or public audiences, including illustrated reports, digital resources and cultural presentations.
