About Us
Cercle d’Études Scientifiques Pierre Rayer (CESR) is a learned society dedicated to enriching the fields of art, science, and culture. Founded by Thierry Rayer, the CESR draws its inspiration from the illustrious legacy of Pierre Rayer, eminent physician and academician. The CESR is committed to sharing humanity’s knowledge through access to art and culture by spreading the Universæ Analysis.
The Universæ Analysis method originates from the in-depth study of a scholarly library comprising over ten thousand volumes. This library was built around the personal archives of Pierre Rayer, physician to Napoleon III and president of the French Academy of Sciences. The collection spans fields such as medicine, natural sciences, mathematics, Egyptology, art history, symbolism and ancient philosophy.
In addition to its academic and cultural activities, the CESR pursues humanitarian missions and is a patron of the Louvre Museum. This affiliation underlines its active role in world heritage conservation, significantly contributing to the preservation of our common heritage.
